Hello!

Welcome to "crappa e plema", the online magazine for more nature connection!

My name is Silvana Candreia. I'm a writer, blogger, yoga teacher, dreamer, forest fairy, mermaid, green witch, creative and spiritual nature conservationist. The rhythms of nature fascinate me and I see it as my current mission to inspire others to live more attuned to nature again and therefore find a connection to oneself.

"We have to re-learn to love what we are:

nature."

crappa e plema

"crappa e plema" is Romansh, my second mother tongue, and translates to "stones and feathers".

Stones and feathers for me are symbols for the heavy and the light occurrences in life. They stand for all that lets me grow personally. For sad and happy moments. For moments, in which I can feel the earth beneath my feet and for those who let me fly. In any case those are the moments that let me go deeper and that always turn out to be crystals.

"crappa e plema" is a place of inspiration. A small sparkling corner in the wast cosmos of the internet that lets you dream, supports you to find back to your true nature and lets you see the beauty of this world. "crappa e plema" is a homage to all the enchanting beings out there. I call that spiritual nature conservation or quiet rebellion, because we have to re-learn to love what we are: nature. And in my book this can happen gently and quietly because therein lies an enormous power.

My story...

For a few years now I have been seeing this picture in my head: a little house at the edge of a forest; standing barefoot in the garden, a cup of tea in my hands and a cat by my feet.

It's that image that doesn't leave me anymore. A lot has changed in my life. I'm over thirty and I quit my job in 2020 to pursue my passion of being creative. I know that if I hadn't dared to take that leap then, I maybe wouldn't ever have done it. My job as a teacher wasn't all that bad, I enjoyed it quite a lot, but it didn't fulfill me anymore and due to the sudden passing of one of my best friends in 2019 I became very aware of my life being too short to postpone my dreams.

All of a sudden my life became very precious and I wanted to have time for it. Therefore I didn't just quit my job after six years, I also left my first ever apartment. I moved from the city to my family's three-hundred year old house in the mountains, surrounded by nature. Because that's what I want. Being connected to myself and my surroundings. Calmness. Time to myself, to be creative and to learn new things. Simplicity. I want to go back to my roots.

And now I'm on my way. I try, I fail and I build on it. Here on "crappa e plema" I document this process, I write personal stories, about nature conservation, about spirituality and the simple life, seasoned with a pinch of magic. I show this beautiful place by organizing retreats and I aim to share the connection I feel to this land with rituals and yoga lessons. Nature is my greatest teacher and my biggest source of inspiration and that's what this page is all about.
